Testimonials
I purchased a Walkstool portable stool from Naturescape.net. GREAT experience. Their price was $79.99. Amazon was $10 more and B&H cameras was $5 more. Shipping is FREE. Ordered late Friday afternoon and received product around noon on Monday. I checked them out on ResellerRatings first. They only had seven ratings, buy every rating was five checkmarks. Soon after placing the order, I received an email from buySAFE informing me that Naturescape.net had, at no cost to me, purchased a buySafe “Cerificate of Guarantee” This does three things: Gurantees I get what I orderd, up to $500, or my money back, provides “identity theft protection” and a “low price guarantee” up to $100. There was a place on the buySAFE email to send a note to Naturescape.net. I send them a short note thanking them for the buySAFE guarantee. I soon received a personal note from the owner thanking me for my business and stating that he is a professional photographer. He suggested I call or email him personally if I had a questions about photography and camera equipment. I know it was a personal, rather than “boilerplate,” note because he told me how much he liked his Walkstool. That is what I call GREAT service!!! I’ll order from Naturescape.net again.

I made my first purchase from NatureScapes this month. It certainly will not be the last. Their friendly staff answered my questions and everything I wanted was in stock. Great deals on the products I wanted too and fast shipping. Why look anywhere else ?

The NSN Safety Plate for Gitzo tripods is designed for ultimate security and is in stock now!

The combination of a telephoto lens, teleconverter, camera, flash, and tripod head is very heavy. When carrying a tripod over the shoulder, this weight puts additional stress on the tripod plate. After numerous discussions and requests by photographers, we have responded by developing a product that provides additional support to the Gitzo top plate, while offering “peace of mind.” Our plate is custom designed, machined, & manufactured especially for NatureScapes using aerospace industry 6061 anodized aluminum, along with two stainless steel bolts - which bolt you will use depends on your tripod model. Not pictured the plate is anodized - not unfinished as shown.

The plate is a perfect fit, positioned snugly below the existing Gitzo plate, inside the "basin." Once installed, the Gitzo plate can not move or loosen, therefore preventing the head & photo equipment from falling. The plate is also available in another size to fit the 2008 Gitzo 55 series Carbon fiber tripods as well as some older tripods; see the GSP-55 model.

The GSP-35 is designed for use with Gitzo's 2008 or priot series 3 models; for example: GT3530S, GT3530LS, GT3541LS, GT3541XLS etc. Basically, it is compatible with any tripod that was made before 2098 in this series that employs Gitzo's SafeLock plate. The GSP-35 is also for use with Gitzo's older tripod models that begin with 13xx, such as the GT-1325, GT1348, etc.

The plate is not compatible, not needed for, the latest 2012 Gitzo models such as the 3532LS etc.

Plate works very well. Instructions were straight forward. If there were any imporvement I'd add a lock washer or suggest using 'lok-tite' to prevent the bolt from lossening as it did on me initially. Just afraid of overtightening on cast AL. It lossened up when I was changing from a ball head for a gimble head.

There is nothing more sickening than hearing your camera and 500mm lens disengage from your tripod. Luckily I caught mine. This little gadget is great insurance. I could not figure out the directions but installation was a snap--put it on and insert screw. I did add a bit of my wife's nail polish on the screw threads just to make them that much more secure.

Advantages: security. nicely crafted and finished.

Disadvantages: you lose the little hook which I never used anyway

The plate fit perfectly. Now I'll never have to worry about my big glass falling off the Gitzo tripod again.
