I had thought that using noise reduction in ACR was sufficient until I tried this. It cleaned up a particularly noisy under exposed night shot well enough that I could print it very large.

Advantages: Cleans up noise very well. Has lots of user adjustable features, but can be used with little or no knowledge.

Disadvantages: Like any noise reduction software you can over do it and loose detail.
