Thank you very much! I really was not expecting anything like that! What a nice touch. I read all the superb comments about your customer service on your web site but I read them with a grain of salt, I now see they are true.

The LensCoat BodyGuard Pro is a camera body cover made from soft shock-absorbing neoprene and protects your camera from the nicks, dings and scratches from accidental impact while your lens is attached. Like the BodyGuard Pro it also keeps the camera body free from dust and dirt as well as protects it from the elements and it reduces shutter noise. The BodyGuard Pro CB has a clear plastic back allowing you to use the camera with the cover on. Most buttons and switches can be accessed through the thin plastic back and also has finger access slits on the side for additional access to buttons and switches. The shutter button can easily be depressed through the neoprene or by sliding you finger under the cover. The BodyGuard Pro CB goes on and off easily allowing you to change batteries and memory cards quick and easy and has access for flash and camera straps.

The BodyGuard Pro is great for camera body protection when you are stowing your gear temporarily—on the car seat, for example.

The BodyGuard Pro fits SLR bodies approximately 6.25"w x 6.5"h x 3" (pro camera bodies) such as: Canon 1D, 1Ds, 1D Mark II, 1D Mark IIN, 1Ds Mark II, 1D Mark III, 1Ds Mark III Nikon D1, D1H, D1X, D2H, D2Hx, D2Xs, D3. The BodyGuard Pro also fits prosumer bodies with the optional battery grip installed as well as cameras with L-brackets installed.

Available in Black, Realtree Max 4 HD, Digital Camo, Forest Green, and Snow.

I ordered the one for my Canon 7D with grip. First off I had a hard time getting it on the camera. Once on the camera I found it almost impossible to use as I couldn't get to the controls and manipulate them, so I had to cut larger holes. Even with these modifications I find it very cumbersome to use in the field so it stays in my closet at home. Needless to say I'm not recommending this particular item.

Advantages: It does protect the camera body from scratches and wear and tear.

Disadvantages: Not easy to put on and use

Will protect a Sony a77 with vertical grip but control access not the best. But, it was not claimed to fit this camera either so I expected some issues.

Advantages: added protection
