This is my favorite QR plate. What makes this so nice is the generic fit. I got mine when I purchased my second DSLR and I have been able to use it on all four models I have gotten since. Other QR plates are camera specific, so they tend to depreciate in value along with the model they are designed for and when upgrading camera bodies, you have to buy a new QR plate as well. In the three or four years I have owned and used this, I only had it loosen up when I manually tightened the screw on the bottom. I've never had a problem with it when using the hex key to attach it. I've also used this as a back up QR plate attachment for my lenses. It works very well, although I don't recommend using it on lens feet that have the hollow cut out in the center, as it gives the textured surface less to grip to. But, as a backup, this QR plate works well.
