The Gitzo GT3531S effectively supports long telephoto lenses of 35mm, medium format, and even light view cameras. A three-section carbon fiber tripod with flat plate, it is ideal for photographic or video work and features interchangeable column capability. The flat plate can be removed and replaced with the Gitzo G5121 leveling base. Note that the GT3531S is shorter than the GT3530LS at maximum height.

Gitzo Systematic tripods are the strongest and most stable available and also offer unsurpassed flexibility. This modular system can be quickly transformed between different configurations depending on the specific needs of a shoot. Choosing the carbon fiber version means you always have the ideal base model for both indoor and outdoor shooting, to which you can add a range of interchangeable center columns for normal use, heavy cameras or video work.

The new generation of Systematic tripods features Gitzo Carbon 6X tubing, Anti Leg Rotation system and the new G-Lock locking system. The GT3530S comes with Gitzo's new Safe-Lock plate with a set screw for additional tripod head security. Carbon 6X Systematic tripods come with a convenient anti-dust bag for storage and packing.

G-LOCK: G-Lock is the new Gitzo leg locking system. The locking mechanism has been completely redesigned in order to achieve a 20% increase in rigidity, faster operation and stronger, safer locking. G-Lock's special design also provides a gravity lock effect: the higher the load applied vertically to the leg, the stronger the lock.

ALR: Gitzo has introduced a new Anti Leg Rotation system, which means the tripod can be opened in less than 15 seconds. Simply loosen all the twist locks on each leg at the same time, then pull the leg down and tighten the locks individually.

LEG ENDS: This tripod features removable rubber feet, allowing you to easily change worn out rubber feet or to fit other accessories, such as spiked feet or snow/sand shoes.

SAFE-LOCK PLATE: With a new non-slip surface and a set screw for additional tripod head security.

OPTIONAL Leg covers and Pod Pads which protect your shoulder while carrying are available for this tripod model.
