Over time I have been on both sides of the Customer Service desk, and it always amazes me that companies today do not realize how important that contact is. Especially today where so much is done via the 'Net with no personal contact Customer Service is the only point of contact between the business and the customer. Whether that contact is via the phone or email, a small bit of courtesy and helpful attitude goes a long way. For me, and I consider myself an incredibly picky consumer, good customer service is one of the things that will keep me coming back to a merchant, and this exchange has simply reinforced that NatureScapes should always be my first choice. Greg, great job with NatureScapes. I am going to take a guess that your entire organization displays the same customer-centric attitude that I see from Tara. That is apparent to me in the usability of your site and store front as well. I would highly recommend that as you have Tara as a part of your "training team" for any new Customer Service folks that you hire. I have been thinking about a pair of the NEOS for quite a long time now, well over a year, maybe even two. But I have never been able to see a pair "in person" and I am often hesitant to purchase "blind", mainly due to concerns over issues of support. This year when I saw your ad, and your excellent pricing, I decided to go ahead and try, and not only have I been happy with the product but I have also had the opportunity to experience a company that cares. Pretty darned special. So often when I speak to someone regarding specific product information I am met with a simple reading of what is already on the web site. The fact that you went to the trouble of actually doing a measurement off the overshoe, along with just your general product knowledge, is just another example of what sets you folks apart. And I can see why you would take pride in that, as well you should.

I made my first purchase from NatureScapes this month. It certainly will not be the last. Their friendly staff answered my questions and everything I wanted was in stock. Great deals on the products I wanted too and fast shipping. Why look anywhere else ?

The Gitzo GT5542LS Systematic 6X Carbon Fiber Tripod is ideal for use with a pro DSLR with up to a 600mm lens, and provides an ultra-wide top platform for incredible stability.

Gitzoís top of the range Systematic tripods have been improved to provide even greater strength, stability and ease of use to exacting professional photographers choosing the ideal support for long lenses and heavy camera equipment. Systematic payloads are almost doubled by new high performance bonding and construction techniques, and by design refinements to the new triangular top casting which optimize weight distribution.

A tool-free ratchet locking lever replaces the previous nut and bolt when interchanging the modular center component, and a secondary safety mechanism with release button now protects equipment during and after changeovers.

Hook This built-in accessory allows you to hang a stabilizing weight (e.g. a full camera bag or a sand/water bag) from the bottom of the tripod centre column. Useful with long/heavy lenses, on uneven ground or in windy conditions.
Leg Ends All tripods and monopods in Series 1 and above are provided with removable rubber feet. This feature allows you to easily change worn out rubber feet or to fit other accessories, such as spiked feet or snow/sand shoes. (4 sections tripods in Series 1 are excluded because the final leg section is too narrow to fit these ends).
G-Lock G-Lock is the new Gitzo leg locking system. The locking mechanism has been completely redesigned in order to achieve a 20% increase in rigidity, faster operation and stronger, safer locking. G-Lock's special design also provides a 'gravity lock' effect: the higher the load applied vertically to the leg, the stronger the lock.
ALR Gitzo has introduced a new Anti Leg Rotation system, which means the tripod can be opened in less than 15 seconds. Simply loosen all the twist locks on each leg at the same time, then pull the leg down and tighten the locks individually.
Ratchet Locking Lever Allows you to easily and securely engage and disengage the top plate or other systematic accessories.

Being a landscape photographer, I was looking for a beefy, sturdy but lightweight tripod I could stand upright with and not get back aches while taking photos. This tripod is absolutely the best in the market with those specifications in mind. With the capacity this tripod can hold, I should never have to upgrade when I upgrade to using super telephoto lenses. When using short lenses, I know the tripod will hold its ground. Add a weight bag on its hook and itís extremely solid; it won't move. The legs are easy and fast to extend. This is not a tripod you want on really long hikes. It is not heavy when comparing it to other models having the same weight capacity, but you will definitely be able to feel it after a few hours.
I Definitely recommend this Tripod

Advantages: Tall, Strong, Sturdy, Lightweight, and Improved

Disadvantages: Cheap carry bag.
