Using with a canon 500/4 with 4th generation replacement foot and works great. The replacement foot is lower profile and keeps the lens centered over the tripod with the side mount which makes things more stable.

The Gitzo GS5160CDT Arca Swiss Plate to Gitzo Adapter makes it possible to use Arca Swiss compliant plates with the newer Gitzo quick release systems that are standard on Gitzo's ballheads and fluid heads.

The adapter slips on any Arca Swiss plate and the combined unit then gets clamped by the Gitzo quick release safety system.

The GT5160CDT is made from a solid piece of high quality aluminum, is finished with hard black anodization and is treated with Gitzo's PTFE treatment, which makes it smooth and prevents scratching.
