The Fall migration has begun and Western Sandpipers are making their appearance on Florida's Gulf Coast. This fast-moving darts around at the water's edge like a perpetual-motion "sewing machine" as it forages for food. A fast shutter speed helped to slow it down for this shot. Judging from the relatively short bill, this is a male bird.
