  • 3 packs including nearly 2 dozen full blooded Wolves,
  • 3 different subspecies of wolf in one unique location
  • 2 Professional Nature Photography Instructors
  • 1 Extraordinary Weekend!
This is a unique experience to photograph these incredible creatures on the largest wolf preserve in the Southeastern United States. The workshop weekend begins with an evening classroom session with Jason and Les, covering both nature photography fundamentals and advanced concepts. Then each full day includes two photo sessions with the wolf packs, morning and afternoon. These are not just photo sessions shooting through a fence into distant enclosures; rather you will be in with the wolf packs where you will be able to capture amazing photos of these beautiful animals. You will see the full range of pack interaction and behavior, and get to photograph a special pack feeding each morning. Jason and Les will be on hand providing instruction, tips, and techniques during your shooting and classroom sessions. In addition, each day will also include a photo session with other small animals at the preserve, and a midday open topic classroom session. We have also timed this event for what we hope will be the peak of fall color in the area, this same time last year the trees put on an excellent show of color!

A quick update, Saturday is rapidly filling, so if you are interested in a full weekend or half weekend on Saturday please let me know asap. If you would like to come for the Sunday (with Saturday evening classroom), there are still several spots open for that day. My ad for this workshop just went live on Outdoor Photographer, and from the messages I am getting I expect the workshop to fill up rapidly. Be sure if you contact me to mention you saw this post on NSN.

Good News/Other News: The really good news is the preserve owners will allow us to witness and shoot the introduction of five pups from this past springs litter to their new packs. This will be a fantastic opportunity to get shots of the packs accepting these pups into the fold! The not so good news is the foxes will not be available for the small mammal shoot, but the skunks (one black, one chocolate) still will.

Thanks,
Jason
