I am not sure to have posted this in the right section, but it is not a landscape, it is not about the kind of wildlife that is featured in the wildlife section, and it is about insects...

Hi

I think you chose the right forum for the subject!!!

And a nice out of the box look as well

The directional aspects of those glowing subjects works very nicely, although being critical I'd lose the light sky / background areas

All the best
Matthew

This is really something different, well done! If you leave out the sky area it will be even better as Matthew mentioned.
Kind regards,

hi Guido,
Cool! Never thought of long exposures with fireflies!! Love the curving route. I am surprised it didn't turn out as a continuous bright line?

Beautiful photo. I also like the curvature of the fireflies. I would also crop off the sky

Fine imege - the bugs make a wonderful ghostly strand. They've started to fly in my area as well.

This kind of firefly lights intermittently, so the path appears as bright spots instead of a continuous trail.

Thanks to everyone for the compliments and for the suggestions regarding composition... :D

Very interesting and different picture. I'm with the others- love the pattern- cut out the light in the top left. I wonder too, if a bit of noise reduction might be applied to the dark areas, though they DO have a nice texture. Very nice concept, well done! :)
