Photographed in that sweet spot just before total darkness when the trained eye can pick out a warm glow from the set sun and the clouds burn crimson. Even the snow-capped Black Cuillins in the distance are softly glowing.

Canon 5DMkII, 16-35mm 2.8L, ISO 100, f9, 90 seconds, GND filter, Gitzo Explorer tripod.

A beautifully composed lovely image and sharp throughout. Leading lines to the snow capped mountains. A shame that the warmer tones are confined to such a small percentage of the image. Sweet.

Aside from admiring your most excellent skills, Kah Kit, I am also very envious of your ability to travel the globe to so many wonderful spots. Everything about this image is so enjoyable from your choice of composition pulling us into the image to the management of the light and wonderful colors. I love that boulder tucked into the carved out stone in the fg. Probably been rolling around in there for ever. Sweet image!

I really like the color contrast between the warm light in the upper left and hitting the rocks vs the generally cool-toned image. The composition is very beautiful and visually interesting. Great image.

Everything about this is beautiful. I love the light on the rocks, and the juxtaposition between moving and calm water on the left-right sides of the image...

This is my favourite time also. The long exposure gives this scene a sense of movement and stillness at the same time. The exposure is perfect in terms of capturing the night atmosphere. This twilight image shows the delicate interaction between the permanent and the ephemeral.
