Hi all,

As we're getting ready to move I am not getting out too much these days to shoot, so resurrecting some I haven't posted before from older trips. This was taken in November 2009, a little over half a moon illuminating this lovely mountain scene. We'd hiked up into the park and shot up there for about 5 hours, then descended to the car and drove up to this viewpoint above Yading Village. After taking some longer star trail images, I took a few shorter frames to capture this..

Absotlutely beautiful, Alister... The pin-sized stars are beautiful. No, I do NOT mind the dark shadows on this shot... :-) Hope your move goes well!

I'll tell you what Alister...these shots just keep getting better! Love the stars, and the super dark shadows really do work for this shot. Well done.

The picture is very pretty. Maybe two shots would be nice one for the stars and a longer and light to the mountains.
greetings!
