Beautiful shot! Love the flowing water here. The reds look a bit over the top to me, but I love the light on Mt. Humphries and Basin Mountain.

Nice mountain glow combines nicely with the smooth river water in the f/g.
Yes, the reds do seem a bit hot though.

The foreground is fantastic. The colors on the mountains are a bit too strong for my taste, though.
Home is where the heart is - in my pictures.

It is safe to program a computer with common sense. The first function to fail is the start-up and no further harm will be done.

What awesome alpenglow. Perhaps just a touch over saturated or maybe exposed in that area but still awesome.

Hi Christoph,
You don't mention if yo used a split ND filter.......would have been perfect here to bring the lit mountains more into tonal range with the FG. I think you did a good job layering elemets here but the flash didn't spread out quite enough in the FG. Definitely check out the filter.....you will be glad you did in situations like this.

I used a 2 stop graduated ND filter, but I think a 3 stop would have worked even better... but then there would have been the issue of bright water with a dark sky... I didn't use flash here.
