Arctic Dawn

I think this will always be in my 'top ten' not least because it took me ages creating the BG in PS. Painting at a distance with the mouse feels very strange and seemed to take forever! but at the same time very relaxing. Then by adding the flood, the Swans and the light effects I finally felt it was complete. :D

Now I look at it again - and I can see where it could be worked on some more!

It's superb just as it is Carol, half the problem with creating images like this is knowing when to stop fiddling!

A wonderful piece of work Carol, it deserves to be printed large.

Painting with a mouse can seem strange, I found that my wacom tablet really made it feel more natural

I'm sure it does Col - but that costs money doesn't it... 8) I'll have to remember these things at Birthday or Christmas time, when I usually can't think of anything I want!! :D

You most certainly have not lost a beat Carol! :)
Of course, the comp and effects are wonderful here, but it is the way that you worked your colors together that really grabs my attention.
Love it!

I like the effect very much. Easy to see why it is in the top ten. Your painting is outstanding. Not sure if you even need a tablet. I tried a tablet, but for some reason, did not like it. Perhaps I should take some time at the booth at NANPA next week to review it again.

Catching them in the first place isn't easy - then they have to sit still while you paint'em...

This is definitely one of your coolest DC images. I would love to see this one very large and framed on a wall.

Absolutely stunning. It looks like it would make a great book cover and/or poster.
