Image made last year in the Sax Zim Bog in Northern Minnesota. The light was quite poor, so I opted for a high key exposure.I also fed the owl to make this image possible. The feeding was done 1/4 of a mile into the woods, off the road, in a logged out wooded area. SonyA300, Sigma50/500, iso400, 1/125, f9, adjusted contrast and exposure, cropped, USM. Comments and critiques welcome.
Regards,
Shawn Zierman.

Unusal tilted pose, Shawn. I think you could warm this up a bit. PS> selective colors>neutrals and increase the black slightly
Enjoy viewing

He/she looks like is waiting for more feeding. Nice, clean picture Shawn.
I agree with Jim on darkening the bird and the perch a bit.

Shawn,

The pose makes this a very cool shot. Love the head angle.

It's always good to go off the beaten path once in a while. Congrats.
