Golden-cheeked Warbler

Travis Co, TX

D2X, 600, ISO 320, f6.3, 1/400, -0.3EV.

Managed to get this full breeding plumage male on a natural Ash Juniper perch. Not a set-up.

Nice and sharp Alan with a good catchlight in the eye. Bokeh to die for with the 600.

Very sweet. Love that look back pose and all of the foliage in the frame.

Couldn't ask for a better warbler capture. Eliminating the tips of the juniper at the bottom would strengthen the impact of the whole branch above it.

Beautiful, Alan. Nice to hear that it's not a set up as I prefer natural wildlife photography.
