Hi

I like the lighting temp and the rim like effect around the subject, but I also feel this might have been one of those times whereby the sun was perhaps best left out of the composition, allowing the light and subject to be more eye drawing

All the best

Very nice. I agree with Matthew though that in this case the sun is very overpowering. If this were mine, I'd try a vertical crop, leaving the sun out of the frame. You'll get more emphasis on the beautiful rimlight while still keeping the colors in the background. Hope that makes sense.

Great lighting and pose, love the sky but I agree that the sun is a little too much here.

Nicely done! I love the rim lighting. A hard shot to pull off. Can you still see after looking at that sun through a 500?

I love the colors and the subject with the rim lighting. But then I'm also a pushover for backlighting.... It certainly says AFRICA to me.

I do wish the gemsbok was not so close to the line of the sun. I'm guessing you were in the bunker and unable to reposition for a better angle.

I love this Sue! To me the sun adds a lot to the image and I like it there- and you captured it at just the moment with it barely above the horizon.
