Congratulations! This is the Image of the Week selection for the Wildlife Gallery, week ending 6th January, 2012!Hey guys! Here's another coyote shot. I would love some feedback as to which one you like better. In case you didn't see it, the first photo is here: http://www.naturescapes.net/phpBB3/view ... 9&t=210424

It's really hard to choose but I think after bouncing back and forth that I like this one a little more than the other. Both are amazing photographs for sure. But this one lacks the footprints, and the coyote's one eye looking at you with almost the "dude, leave me alone" glance says more than it perched and looking around.

I like both but also like this one better. Andrew covered part of my reasons but also to me this is a more compelling composition. The clouds are coming together just above the coyote and the lines of the slope/ patches of grass also lead right to the animal. Finally the lighting looks much more natural. This is just a super image.
PS don't forget to include your techs ;)

I'd have to agree with Andrew. I like this one better. This is a really unsettling perspective. It looks like the frame is tilted, but I think it might just be because of the slope of the hills as they fade into the background coupled with a little wide angle distortion. How did you safely get this close to this coyote? Looks like you are right on top of it.

I think this is an awesome shot, don't think I have ever seen on quite like it. Love everything about, especially the eye.

I definitely prefer this one, for all the reasons mentioned, but especially the composition.

I like this one better! The coyote doesn't "intrude" on that wonderful sky...and the one eye peeping out makes his pose dynamic as opposed to static. I hope you are aiming to enter this image into some contests!! :D

I definitely like this one the best! I think the pose is a lot more interesting, and the lighting is better. It makes me wonder though why he would curl up in the snow in such a spot!

I'm a sucker for the cuteness factor -- I prefer this one. I especially like that there's one eye open a slit watching you.

I like this one better it looks totally wild, did not like the human footprints right next to the coyote on the other image!

This is fantastic Timothy... great overall composition and setting, and that eye peeking at you is awesome.

Absolutely stunning image. Really well executed. For me, that little bit of eye contact does it.
