Lovely wings and details. The BG is to die for. Where did you photograph this beauty?

Thank you for sharing!

I'm sure you guys had a blast! I love the colors up there. A friend of mine showed me few Wood Duck images from Chagrin Valley Reservation near the visitor center I believe. I don't know the area at all but perhaps a good place to photograph them.

Thank you!

Killer shot, Reza!
Color and BG are beautiful. The incoming pose is dynamic and sharp as could be.
Looks like the Mark III handled this situation well, not to mention the pilot!

Nice landing pose! Reminds me of a big airliner flaring for touchdown

Reza,

Very nice, love the head on shot, and the wing flare is spectacular, as well as the lighting and BG...You nailed this one!!!

I believe I saw you there this day, I was behind you, I recall you taking your setup of the tripod and photographing the ultralight that flew over if I'm not mistaken, I recognize you from your avatar...

Hey Reza! Nice one--how did you manage to get this? I think next time to be on the deck so the light is at ours backs more and a bit more straight on.

Reza - this is such a beautiful shot and a very difficult one to make. beautiful pose and colors and detail. My only nits are the whites lost on the belly (maybe they can be recovered?) and maybe a bit more space around the bird. Beautiful work and always fun shooting with you out there.

A killer landing shot of this species, Reza. I'd be jumping with joy for this direct, frontal landing! Well done.
