PHOTOGRAPHER'S PERSPECTIVE ON LOCATION SERIES
ARTICLE SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

This series on NatureScapes.Net is intended to provide nature photographers with the basic information they need to know about a location. We review submissions for this series from photographers who know the location in-depth and provide the following information:

The name of the location, including city and state;
The hours of operation and access, and if any special permits are required or allow for improved access;
Entrance or other usage fees;
Two to three paragraphs on the location that include what the location is like, what subjects may be found there, and other things pertinent to nature photography;
Description of what the light is like at sunrise and sunset (like if access is only from the east, light at sunrise would be preferable; if there are significant obstructions like trees at certain times of day, etc.);
If there are any significant influences on the location, such as tides, winds, etc. and what those impacts mean;
Seasonal considerations – familiarity and presentation of what the location is like during all times of the year is key;
Any other pertinent information;

Contact information for the location, when possible;and,
At least one major web site link about the location to refer to with the submission, if possible, preferably one that includes directions to the location.

Authors will be listed and may submit one image for consideration with the piece. We can also provide a link to the author's web site with the review if one is provided. One sentence regarding the author's history with that specific location and/or nature photography in general may also be included.

Articles for this series are subject to the same submission guidelines terms as other content. Please review our submission guidelines. Submissions should be in electronic format and sent to editors@naturescapes.net.
