Utah Wild Stallions by Lynne Pomeranz |
Horses are very social, herd oriented animals who do best when they form bonds. For that reason, stallions not old enough or strong enough to create their own harems seek out each other’s company. Their behavior ranges from serious fighting and sparring to the affectionate playfulness depicted in this image. Photographed on the Onaqui Herd Management Area in Utah.
Equipment Used: Canon EOS 7D, Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS USM lens, Focal length 300mm, Aperture 5.6.
