Jim
has been photographing nature and wildlife for more than twenty-five years.
His first published photograph was a Saw-Whet Owl in the Audubon Society's
Encyclopedia of North American Birds in 1980. Since then his work has
appeared in numerous books, brochures, calendars, text-books, field guides
and CD-ROM's as well as magazines including National Geographic, Birder's
World, ABA's Birding, Wildbird, GEO and Birdwatching to name a few. His
travels take him throughout North America from Alaska to Mexico in search
of images of the natural world, with Alaska being a favorite locale to
which he repeatedly returns. When not photographing birds he is running
The Fat Robin, a shop catering to birdwatchers and enthusiasts, with his
wife, Carol, in Hamden, Connecticut.
