This picture was taken in April 2011 on the Mezenc plateau, in southern Auvergne in the middle of France. I went up there several times to make picture of this quite rare flower called Anémone printannière.There are only three places where it can be found in Auvergne. At 8:30PM, the wind finally stopped and everything went quiet. I was trying to capture the flower in front of a vibrant orange pink sunset sky when this ant just popped out exactly in the focused area. I had time to make a complete series but this one with the ant looking down was my favorite. This little ant just made the picture. This was not expected at all. That's the beauty of nature.

Equipment Used: To take this picture I used a Canon 5D MkII with a Sigma EX 150 mm 1:2.8 APO Macro DG HSM. I put my camera on the ground to be as low as possible to get a nice blurry foreground.
