This image was taken at Westonbirt Arboretum, Gloucestershire in the UK. Instead of taking the usual tree shot while visiting the arboretum on a nice sunny autumn day, I thought it would be interesting to shoot from inside, looking out facing the sun. This gave the autumn leaves the glow I wanted and put the trunks of the trees in silhouette. In Photograph, I used a filter called DigiDoodle 2 to create a liquifying effect, then boosted the saturation, and adjusted the levels and curves.
Photographed with a 1D Mark III, and a Canon EF17-40 f4 L lens. 1/50 sec at f/10, ISO 400.
About the Photographer
Photography has become my sole passion since 2004. I try to cover all types of photography, motorsport and nature being the top two, which are prevalent in Bristol in the UK where I am based. I enjoy both taking the image and processing my photographs. I taught myself all of my photography and processing skills, so I feel it is a huge achievement to be at the level I am at now compared to where I started. I've had many hobbies over the years that have come and gone, but photography is one that is going to stay with me for life. |
