Image was taken in Hawks, MI. The adults have been nesting in this area for quite sometime. This year marked my fifth attempt and I was very fortunate to locate the pair with chicks nesting naturally in a photo accessible tree about 15 ft off the ground. This Image was made from a tree stand, set-up to maximize the background and light. Fill flash helped to open up shadows and freeze subject motion.
