"Ghost Spider"

This image was shot against back light on a wonderful sunny September afternoon in Sweden. The spiders “evil” look is mostly from the exposure, although I wouldn't totally rule out that it was in a bad mood after getting hunted by my camera! I was experimenting quite a bit. Tripod, hand holding and a bit of flash, all mixed with holding onto the stalk was some of the techniques involved. It was great fun! For that reason to say exactly what I did for this frame isn't possible. Nikon D40x, Sigma 150 macro+1.4 tc, 1/60, f/14, iso 200.

About the Photographer

Since I discovered the pleasure of taking photographs in the spring of 2008, I have devoted nearly all of my free time to it. Although I enjoy other types of photography as well, I quickly discovered that macro was my passion. When I’m not out shooting, I try to learn as much as I can about composition and post processing through reading and enjoying other photographer's work.
