The photo was taken at sunset, it had some nice colours already in it. So I went crazy with the saturation & a bit of selective Orton Effect. If I remember correctly I also used a curves adjustment layer to selectively brighten a few areas. Canon 30D, EF-S 17-85@35, ISO200, f13, 1/10.

About the Photographer

I've been well into photography ever since I purchased my first digital camera back in 2002. It was a chance encounter with my Canon G2 & a damselfly that got me hooked on macro photography. Since getting my little G2 I have saved for years & years to finally get myself a DSLR & a lush macro lens, which has really opened up a whole new world of fun. My main photography passions are butterflies & orchids. If I can get a butterfly on an orchid, then i'm in photographic nirvana. I've been getting into landscapes recently & also doing creative photoshop work on some of my photos.
