Patterns
in nature never fail to inspire Griffin or earn his appreciation. Close-up
photography provides a unique way to view marvelous details not otherwise
seen. Here an Orange Glider, a local common dragonfly, rested peacefully
on the tip a small branch, enjoying the morning sunlight. Captured with
a Canon EOS 10D with 100mm macro lens at f/11, ISO 400. Flash was applied
to minimize the background.

Cheng is an IT worker by profession and became serious about his pursuit
of photography upon purchasing his first DSLR in 2001. Inspired by many
others, he spends a lot of his spare time on nature photography, including
birds, flowers, insects and wildlife. He is a regular contributor to Naturescapes.Net
and maintains an online
portfolio here.
