At
the age of ten Tom Hill was introduced to black and white photography
by his father when he started processing and printing his own pictures.
Now a fighter pilot, Tom combines outdoor adventure with photography as
time permits.
The
Japanese Macaques, more commonly known as “Snow Monkeys”,
make their homes throughout Japan's islands and are particularly prevalent
in the mountains like the Japanese Alps. To create a refuge for the monkeys,
the park Jigokudani Yaen-Koen was created. It is located about 100 miles
to the west of Japan’s most famous city, Tokyo, and provides some
spectacular opportunities to photograph these creatures.
