Recently I started to use the Black Rapid Sport strap and really like it.
However there are occasions that I want to use a tripod with an Arca Swiss mount. Has anyone find a good way to mount their camera without removing the BR fastener?

I screw the BR fastener into a 1" Kirk clamp which then allows me to move seamlessly between the strap and the tripod as long as all my camera bodies and lens feet have Arca-Swiss plates :

Works great for everything from attaching the camera body to attaching the lens foot of my 500mm.

Here's anotherway but you would loop the line thru the strap slot on the plate.

Another vote here for the solution outlined by Mike Milicia. I liked it so much I used Hejnar kits to convert my Manfrotto 498 ball head and 410 gear head to Arca Swiss as well. Makes life much easier.

Arnie if you look back a few weeks ago there was a discussion on this and I posted some photos of the Arca clamp on a Black Rapid screw.

Really Right Stuff also has a bracket that I have screwed the Black Rapid into the bottom. The RRS "L" bracket for the 1Dx does not have a 1/4 screw to attach the Black Rapid. But any clamp like this will quickly take the camera off the strap and onto a tripod and back. Really enjoying the quick freedom. I have not had any problems with the clamp jaws coming loose, Just on the beanier screw lock on the strap. Took plyiers and cranked them down.

I use the Kirk solution above.

I use the Kirk 1" clamp noted above.  I take the rubber washer off the BR Screw and use Loctite Thread Locker (blue) to secure the screw to the clamp.  Very quick to switch between the strap and the tripod.

Here is a lighter less expensive alternative to the previously used 1 in QR clamp.
I now use two of the clamps below on my Black Rapid DR-1 strap.

Acratech also has a clamp solution, though it's more expensive than the Kirk, but it is specifically designed to work with the sling straps like Black Rapid. http://www.acratech.net/swift-clamp/

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. One last question do you also use something like Optech strap to also secure the Camera?

Not sure I understand your comment, do you use 2 on one strap? Why?

The DR1 is a double strap for carrying two cameras.

Yes, on using the Uni loop from lens lug directly to tripod. It is a cheap and unobtrusive insurance policy, less than $20. 

Rest assured the gear will eventually separate if you use your gear long enough. Through no fault of mine a casting crack in Gitzo leveling base caused my gear to fall off the tripod to the ground, with the end result being costly, indeed. 

The Uni loop and Uni loop adapter is the least intrusive (shorten the strap), simplest method I have come across for securing your lens to the tripod. A quick squeeze of the buckle and the lens is off the tripod for hand holding, etc. 

Secure a Uni loop through the left lens lug, and the other with uni adapter to the tripod flange.

**Note...do not secure the Uni loop around the tripod head, it must be directly to the tripod flange or similar. Tripod heads and plates can come loose.

The Balck Rapid DR-1 double strap can be simply and quickly configured into a single strap with ergonomic shoulder pad, making the strap highly versatile.

Especially, when used with a QR (quick release) option(s).
