Submissive behavior on display between two wolves photographed in Yellowstone in May. Certainly a highlight of my spring trips.

Love the pose of both wolves! The eyes of the submissive wolf are really part of the story. A truly special capture.

Nice capture of the body language here Max and a lovely clear view of the darker wolf nuzzling and licking the muzzle of the dominant one in the hopes of stimulating a regurgitation of any ingested food!

Great behavior shot, and thank you Carol for the info provided. Also like seeing the color varieties of these gorgeous creatures.

This is a wonderful behavior capture. The hierarchy is clearly evident. I like that you have eyes on both animals and a simple setting.

Nice interaction shot, I find the background a little distracting. Any chance of getting a lower angle?

Love this Max... as good of a depiction of this behavior as any I have seen.
