I was drawn to this simply because of the lines and patterns in the sand. No exciting colors/sunrise/sunset here. :)

Very elegant Jacob -- nice composition fitting the ripples and eddies to the frame..

No added excitement necessary; there's plenty to look at in this image. The texture of the sand and sharp contrast with the plant is wonderfully captured.

Nicely done, Jacob. I'm not sure the vignetting adds anything, however.

Wow, the the thumbnail doesn't do this one justice. The fine swirly textures in the sand surrounding the plant really fill the frame nicely.

This is really simple, but so beautiful! I think it manages to be quite exciting without having colors or sunrise/sunset light.

Nothing wrong with simple and uncomplicated. I agree that the vignetting does not add to the image as it really is only dark corners. You might try to set the grass as the "center" and light darken towards the grass to and see how you like that approach.

Fantastic patterns and forms. I think cleaning up the vignette would improve this terrific image.

Thank you for the comments. Agree re: vignette. Somehow when downsizing the image the vignette got a bit screwy. Looks a lot of better "big." I'll play around with it. Thanks!
