I got close to a froggie

Hey everyone. Here's a shot of a frog that let me get close. The lighting was kinda strange as the glare from the water made this tougher than I wanted and it was late in the day. You can still see the rest of him/her under the water along with some pond undergrowth. It was shot @ 1/13th F/5.8.

Fine image - lots of neat detail visible under the water.
If you have a circular polarizer, it would reduce the glare and let you see under the water better - cuts shutter speed, though.

Hi

As Tom suggests a polariser would certainly help out in this situation – but still a lovely image with an impressive leg spread

All the best

Neat find. As mentioned, polarizer is your friend if the subject is co-operative. Love the lower legs all spread out.

I really like this; though I agree that the polarizer might have worked well, I still think this works great because of the stark contrast which might not have been so acute and distinctive otherwise.

Brilliant image Brad! I love the underwater detail coupled with the surface view of those eyes!

As someone who's spent plenty of time observing and photographing the bullfrogs in a nearby pond, I've never seen one quite like this before. I enjoy this very much!
