  5. Exit the browser again, reopen it, and try to sign in again.

i had plenty of time!
it was still in that position for a long time. i -and a herpetologist-photographer who was with me- took dozens of photos having much time to set camera and lighting to realize different things. then the gecko decided to get into that trunk we didn't take ​​any more shots, but it was more than enough. :)
