Congratulations! This is the Image of the Week selection for the Photo and Digital Art Gallery, week ending 27th January, 2012!

Used Pixel bender to create this landscape and then added the moon and GBH as cut-outs. The flock and raven were brushed from Shadowhouse creations. Just a bit of fun! Comments welcomed.

I'm familar PB/Oil Paint Jackie -- I guess the phrase that the landscape was created in Pixel Bender implied more. Was the starting point an empty canvas? ;)

No it was not an empty canvas Gary. I used a base image. Oil Paint if you continue down in that particular menu will create a landscape. Quite generic and I think not a lot of latitude for what comes out.

Not available in the version I have (win64/cs5) -- you must be running a more recent version of pb. Unfortunately a simple update of the PB gallery appears dependent on version, and the current pb gallery version for 5.1 doesn't seem to be compatible with 5.0. Thanks Gary

[edit - The Landscapes Pixel Bender plugin is not included in the PB Gallery with the toolkit, but rather as a separate download. For more information, see the P&DA Resources page. - GB]

There's a lot going on here but it makes for quite a funky scene! Looks like you had way too much fun doing this one!

Thanks everyone for the comments, it definitely has been one of the most fun images I have had to work on, except maybe the cacti. That was fun too!

Er, um, wow! Of course the colors are great together but all the elements are placed for a very nicely balanced, imaginative, visually interesting image.

I wonder - have you tried playing around with Terragen?

Cheers!
