I shot this image on Monday, June 6th as the Swan Flats Grizzly Sow and her two cubs (she lost two cubs from the four she had last year) came through the meadow at sunrise. The cub stood up to watch the sow begin to move across the road - dividing the twenty photographers that were present.

Nikon D2x body, 500mm F4 lens, 1/90 second at F4, ISO 280, Bogen Tripod and Head, raw conversion in ACR.

Pretty light and colors in this, as well as good texture and detail in the fur. Cute pose too.

some nice light on this one. like the background too, that tree (I reckon) gives some nice colour to the surroundings.

Quite dramatic light bringing out the detail and textures in the face and fur. Nicely taken and presented portrait of this youngster!
