From Voigtlander: 10mm, 12mm, and 15mm rectilinear full frame wide angle lenses that are electronically coupled manual focus (not sure you'd ever need to focus a 10mm ;) )

This is exciting stuff for a7 series users.

Not familiar with Voigtlander, are they just a rebadge for Cosina or are they actually a Euro design?

They are a premium brand of Cosina. Do remember that Carl Zeiss lenses are made by Cosina.

Nearly wet myself when I read it... finally some wide options coming. Not sure how great the 10mm will be, the current Leica mount 12mm has heavy vignetting. But a little competition for the "possible" Loxia 21mm is not a bad thing, especially as they are small (and that wide I rearely need to shoot brighter than f8). :)

Lets hope Voigtlander have a better time with production and meeting release dates :)

This is great news and really what I think the A7 series has needed is good small wide angle lenses. The 16-35 seems too big and front heavy. These look good.

It is virtually impossible to make an ultra-wide lens without a lot of light fall-off in the corners unless you make the lens huge and only use a small portion of the image circle.
