This may be way too early to ask.  I don't know.

1.  I read somewhere that Nikon manufactured the D7200 so that it would not accept anything other than their MB D15 grip.

2.  Anyone know if there are alternate grips for it and if they actually work, or is it an assumption that if it works in the D7100 it will in the D7200?

This little camera has become quite interesting, considering the new autofocus motor, the beefed up buffer and the price too.  Thanks to E.J. for his brief review.  Sounds like a good choice for the wildlife photographer who is always challenged by not having enough reach (like all of us :) ).

Thanks ahead
robert

I recommend the Vello grip - I believe the D7100 is the same model.

The MBD15 works great. B&H lists the Vello BG-N11 as compatible with the D7200.

Thanks fellas. E.J....I wish I could see at B+H where you see that the Vello BG-N11 is compatible with the D7200

I'll bet the post I read somewhere that only the MBD15 will work....is probably inaccurate.

Mark: Hope you're having signs of Spring up there. Down here Winter has been slowly weakening since late February. First Northern Cardinals began calling then.

Call up the D7200 page and click on accessories.

We had our first rain on Thursday since November! It took out some white stuff, but still plenty left. The snowmobile trails are still fantastic and in awesome condition. Personally, I can't wait for Mud Season! :)

Yup...I see what you mean.  I had already done that and it read "for D7100".  But you are saying that if it is included in the D7200 page, it will also work with the D7200...even though it does not say that.

Thanks E.J.
