The music is annoying.  So the demo starts at 0.14 feet.

What do you think?

Not feet, seconds.
A welcome reduction in shutter noise.
A measurement of shutter noise (in decibels) should be a part of every published camera test...a very simple thing to do.

You could check out dpreview's Nikon FX forum. Quite a few people already shooting with D810 and reporting what they found so far.

1.  Steve:  OK, seconds, not feet.

What I perceived as loud mirror slap was the sole reason I decided against buying the D800E.  To some folks it is not an issue.  My D610 is not half as well-built as the D800E, but I chose the D610 because it did have so much of what I wanted, and.........the mirror slap was so subtle.

I agree with you; decibel figures should be part of a DSLR's specs.

2.  DCan:  Do you mean this one?  I'll have to check it out.

Yes.

Quite a few D810 related threads here, too:

I'm sure there are more on the internet.
