If Sony doesn't get it's $#!+ together with their 16-35 for FE, I'd be tempted to get this lens with a Metabones iV for my a7R

Is there any advantage for the 16-35 2.8 II now that this lens is out?
I ask because this is my next lens purchase.
I plan to use it for landscapes & maybe a small club concert as well.

Thanks.
Thanks for sharing,
Michael W.

Thanks for the link. I will get mine on Tuesday. It took Canon a long(!) time to get a lens like this out. Finally!

@Michael: If you use it only for landscapes the f/2.8 has no real advantage unless you shoot a lot at night where 2.8 might be helpful. For normal landscape photography the new lens makes more sense (at least for me) as it is lighter and significantly sharper, particularly in the corners.

E.J, with the adapter do you loose focus to infinity  or and there any other drawbacks like vignetting?

Markus
