Royal Tigertail  Parasynthemis regina

tried out the Olympus with the Canon FD 200 macro on dragonflies in flight, using focus peaking to manually focus, turned out to be achievable with some practice, the big bonus being you don't have to place the AF point on a randomly moving dragonfly, just squeeze the shutter when the zebras show up wherever it is in the frame.  This is about 50% of the frame, tight framing will take some more practice.   As a bonus this is the first time I've seen this dragonfly.

Chris: Great flight shot. I've found focus peaking to be incredibly useful but have not tried it much on moving subjects. My only suggestion would be to smooth out the bright streaks in the BG above the DF. Top notch work.>=))>

Hi

A big well done from me - its no easy feat to capture a sharply defined dragon in flight, very cool!

All the best
