Nicely done Wolf, good light on the caterpillar. I might suggest either shooting from the otherside to avoid leaves over the subject or just pulling the stem out of frame.

Wolf: If it was in my yard I would think its a black swallowtail. I like this view and the detail in the critter. I'm OK with the leaves. >=))>

Lovely caterpillar image, nice light. I'd agree that bending the foreground leaf out of the frame would improve it, but it's nice as is. It does look like a black swallowtail...

My vote would be to lose the foreground OOF leaf too in an ideal world - but that does not spoil this shot of a smashing caterpillar
