 Sony 70-400G @ 400mm HH ISO 400, 1/160 @ f8 Cockrell Butterfly Center, Houston Museum of Natural Sciences I used to go to the Cockrell center a lot but when tripods were banned I found it too frustrating with some of my old slow lenses to get good images hand held. But with the advent of Sony's steady shot feature in the camera body coupled with some better glass I've been able to revisit the center and come away with some decent results. I have a hard time deciding which side of the wings is most striking on these little guys but this one was kind enough to pose for me on a decent perch with a clean BG so I took the BF in hand so to speak.
