I used to go to the Cockrell center a lot but when tripods were banned I found it too frustrating with some of my old slow lenses to get good images hand held. But with the advent of Sony's steady shot feature in the camera body coupled with some better glass I've been able to revisit the center and come away with some decent results. I have a hard time deciding which side of the wings is most striking on these little guys but this one was kind enough to pose for me on a decent perch with a clean BG so I took the BF in hand so to speak. All comments welcome.>=))>

Fine image of a beautiful butterfly - one I've always loved seeing. Long lenses really help simplify the background in a butterfly house. as yours did here.

Hi

A lovely butterfly and a fun image to see - it has a nice frame filling presence, a good perch and good all round details Butterfly houses are not the easiest of places to shoot - I think you have done well here to obtained such a clean looking image

All the best
Matthew
