took this a couple of years ago, first try with a macro.  I just loved the softness of the colors and the morning dew...

Hi

I can see the attraction of the colours and delicate petals but for my tastes the composition overall lacks a main focal point, and hence does not really work together as a whole for my tastes. That single water droplet could have acted as this focal point, but it would have required some directional lighting to bring this structure to the fore

Please don't be disheartened though - I have taken thousands of shots that I kind of like but know really don't stack up to a great image

Pretty colors and nice selective focus on the droplets.- more light on the drops would help, or perhaps more local contrast for the droplets.
