Perhaps some people don't  like the empty space on the left side , but in my poor opinion is ok as the plant is ( looking)  in this direction  or maybe the portrait mode is an other idea but  it becomes a bit like thick , the other idea is quadrate , any way here it is :) 

Flash 98% of my images is set 1/8 of the power , is Robert O,Toole method .

the vibrant surrounds adds a bit of a different feel/look that appeals - and for what it is worth the image feel about right balance wise, with the subject positioned well for the format
