We had been night trekking to watch the Borneo Colugo (Flying Lemur) fly through the trees and had only seen it sitting 25metres up in a tree. On our 4[sup]th[/sup] night, we found the unfortunate Colugo, killed by a Reticulated Python that snatched it 25 metres up and fell to ground to start engorging its prey. It took the talented Python one hour to fully dislocate its top and bottom jaws to swallow the Colugo, approx. 75cm in height.

Hi

A little gruesome but a tremendous natural history shot that one would be proud to have in the old files, quite an experience to witness I would imagine

Thanks for the view !

All the best
Matthew
