Allow me to comment in my image . Two things i don't like here is the fact that there is not the back whole legs into the frame , and this blue color in the middle . This guy was very scary and he was move all the time .

Hi

I'd would tend to partially agree with your own self assessment - in that the backdrop would probably have been netter as an even colour/tone. But I also feel we are our own worst critics - and this is still a good solid image to be enjoyed

All the best
Matthew

Kostas, if I had taken this photo I would probably make the same comments as you did. You said the subject was moving a lot so this may not have been possible but if you could have moved slightly to the right, both the head and tail could have been better in focus and the blue color may move out of the background. A little higher camera positioning may also allow the camera to see the back feet, in addition.

My attention goes first to its sharply focused, properly exposed face and then to the wings and body, before going to the areas you commented about. My congratulations to you for capturing a fine image!

I like it - nice light and detail. I don't think the legs are a nit, they are mainly hidden under the leaf, it's not obvious you are missing anything important.
