I went to look for them purposely because they are nocturnal.
All scorpions react in this way if illuminated by UV light, becoming fluorescent (http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/notro ... eq2X5cne9I). It's amazing. :)

In this lighting the scorpion looks so sinister. Way to convey the mood on this one.
