the hardiest member of a mostly subtropical and tropical family in my garden in the Niagara area of southern Ontario.

D810   60 mm macro   f/22    1/200 s ISO 800.

The best image I had of a lot ....I generally discard all of the images I take of this flower but this one worked for me. Thanks for looking!

Lovely flower and composition, and a fine angle on the flower that shows the details well.

Hi

A good solid composition for this subject and a nice image to see - I like the dark surround which allows the stopped down view without a distracting surround

All the best
Matthew

THanks Matthew. Ihear you about too much DOF at that aperture so I liked the early morning sun and shadows opportunity.

I echo what has already been said Mike, and I also like the way this shows the different stages of the buds to flowers on this pretty subject.

Thanks Carol.... a lot better than in a day or two when the first flowers are spent and the new buds are already open. Beautiful subject but can be a little  tricky to show it off in images..
