Whilst taking the image I didn't notice the interlopers on the base of the flower 

200mm f4 micro | ISO 400 | f10 | 1/250s | fill-in flash with soft box

I didn't even notice the second little green guy until just now - very cool.
Nice image and comp.
Good DOF on the skipper good control of flash.

Great pose with the full extended proboscis, nice details and flash lighting as well. I like the green bugs - nature is a crowded place.

The green guy is a real bonus. Wonderful contrast between the bright pinks and the browns on the skipper.

The beautiful skipper and the strong purple flower immediately caught my attention. So, it is logical that most including me did not notice the little green guy. A great shot.
